Mlm Recruiting-the Best Tips For Prospecting

To succeed in MLM recruiting, you must be able to find and create interest in an adequate number of qualified prospects. This is why most ‘cold calling’ fails. The appointments made with cold calling are usually low probability leads that will just waste time. As well, it’s next to impossible to develop a favorable relationship this way. Here we will take a look at the best tips for prospecting.

1. Use an offer of around 45 words that clearly says who you are, what you are marketing, and the 2 best characteristics of your product or service when you contact prospects.

2. Make sure your list is highly targeted and made up of individuals that are already interested in your type of business.

3. Have regular contact either via email or by phone with every person on your list. However, realize that only a small percentage of your prospects will be ready to do anything on the initial contact. More people will be ready to partake of your opportunity with more contact. Most prospects won’t be serious until the 3rd contact or after.

4. Try taping yourself when you contact your prospects by phone for your end of the conversation. Listen to the tape when the call is complete to see how you sound. Study the conversational tones. See if you sound like a salesperson, overly enthusiastic, unusually friendly or enticing. Try to present your opportunity without sounding like you are trying to convince your prospect.

5. If you get a ‘No’ or ‘I’m not interested,’ just end the conversation. Don’t keep chasing down a dead end. This way will not leave a sour taste in their mouth.

6. Make your prospecting sessions no more than 3 hours with a 15 minute break each hour. You will be more productive on this type of schedule.

7. Get into the mindset that finding prospects is really a ‘numbers game.’ Try to stay positive and not get discouraged.

8. Always be ready to let go of dead end leads and not waste your time on them. Don’t get desperate and badger people who really aren’t interested.

9. Keep good records. This will help you to constantly improve your results and keep you organized when speaking to people.

Here’s something that you need to remember about MLM prospects. They really don’t want you to sell them on a business opportunity. Your main goal should not be to convince. Good prospects are those who are already looking for an opportunity, so forget about the prospects who are not interested. If you understand this you’ll really reduce the frustrations that come along with prospecting. It’s important to attract individuals who are actively looking for an opportunity.

Are You a Leader?

Another aspect to consider if you want to be successful in network marketing is do you have the mindset of a leader? Many people assume that others will join the program because of the product and cool sales page…not really. The main reason is that there are TONS of good programs with great sales pages…what people want to know is CAN THIS PERSON HELP ME BE SUCCESSFUL?

How you present yourself is critical at this point. I’ve heard the saying "Fake it ’til you make it", but I don’t like it…I believe it tempts people to lie and make claims that aren’t true, e.g. "I made over $10,000 last month!" when in reality maybe it was only a few hundred. Look at our own leaders in government…how do you feel when they lied? What do you think of their leadership abilities? You don’t want your prospects to feel the same when they discover you are lying.

You must have the mindset of a leader:

  • Integrity
  • Confidence
  • Honesty
  • Positive
  • Understanding
  • Motivator
  • Helpful

Don’t lose hope if you don’t feel like a leader…you just need to have the mindset…your upline should help train you to become a good leader. This is part of the duplication process and you’ll do the same for your downline.

Network Marketing Tips – I Am NOT a Corporation! But I’ll Take the Profits!

by Joe Bingham What do you think are the keys to earning BIG BUCKS on the Internet? First, let’s break this down into two categories. Category #1 entails offering an extensive line of products, extensive services, departmentalizing your web design, accounting, billing, shipping, receiving, marketing, sales, inventory, personnel management, staffing, administration… Whoa! What is this? I am not a corporation! I’m one person with a PC in my bedroom, screaming kids, barking dogs, a skeptical spouse, a regular job, and two hours between the kid’s bed time and mine to try and make a difference in all our lives. So, what’s category #2? Category #2 is affiliate programs or MLM. Ok great, but what are the keys there? Actually, they are almost the opposite of the keys to success for the category #1 business. There are 3 main points, and each intertwines logically with the other. Here they are. LOW INVESTMENT Part of the magic of network marketing over the Internet is how little it takes to get started. In fact, it’s a mistake to have a large initial investment. The vast majority of MLM programs cost no more than $50 to join. In real world terms, starting a business for ONLY $50 is unheard of! On the Internet, however, it’s a reality. Many programs pay commissions of 40-50% on referrals as well, making a return on your investment incredibly fast. So why dump a large investment into a program BEFORE you can see how well it will work for you when you can start much more easily with little to lose? Besides, the BIG Bucks do not come from ONE sale, but multiple sales generated by a large network in your downline, and that large downline is much more likely to develop if the initial cost to joining your program is a small one. GEOMETRIC PROGRESSION The real key to success in network marketing is through a successful downline. If you are a great recruiter yourself, you will do better than someone who isn’t, but even still, there is real POWER in the mathematics of geometric progression in a network. Ideally, each person you recruit joins others in the next level under you, and they in turn create the next level beyond that. The numbers per level grow exponentially so long as each member that joins also refers others. Again, low investment is one key that will ensure all referrals will in turn gain referrals themselves. The POWER for creating wealth lies in the numbers, not in anything you do individually — EXCEPT being a good sponsor that helps develop successful downline members. Remember, working for them only benefits you. Their success is your success. PROMOTION This is the one key shared by all businesses on and offline alike. You have to advertise. It does not matter how good your program is if no one knows it’s there. This is where you place your investment and money, not in the initial purchase. With a good program, however, you should never have to put outside money into it after your first promotional efforts. You still keep your initial investment low by using profits from sales to buy the next round of advertising, or by using free advertising methods. If a program cannot fund itself after initial promotional efforts, you must first evaluate the kind of promotion you invested in, and if you deem that to be sound, you must then evaluate the program itself. Don’t just keep pumping money into a program that does not make enough sales to pay for itself. If it’s not making it, cut your losses and move on. Find one that does. Unless you are a corporation, the Internet is NOT a place for a large investment. Invest a little and shoot for a lot. The only other aspect to consider is the product or products you are selling. Investing in programs that offer something of REAL value WILL achieve better results. Don’t buy into a program based on how well you like the payout unless that’s all you’re intending to sell. If you’re out to sell something of value both you AND your downline will find the job much easier to do. There’s still going to be an element of work involved no matter what anyone tells you. However, the Internet and network marketing through an MLM do offer those of you with a PC in your bedroom, screaming kids, barking dogs, a skeptical spouse, a regular job, and two hours between the kid’s bed time and your own, a way to make a difference in all your lives… if you work hard, work smart, and DO IT! MLM Today – More Than Enough To Go Around

There’s no question we are in the midst of hard times. Add to the economic trouble, the questionable solutions offered by Congress and the "financial experts", the rabid Presidential race – we are getting our ass kicked.

Pain. Is there anyone you know that isn’t experiencing some sort of pain?

I’m not trying to exploit the demise that we are suffering. Forget the sales pitch for a moment.

How many people that are currently experiencing financial trouble COULD you have helped IF only you had talked with them about your business project? Perhaps you market a health & wellness product that could provide some relief for even a few minutes a day – but you permitted yourself to be distracted.

What about your own situation? Some people are masochists, I guess.

I do not for a moment believe that MLM will provide the complete solution for what may be ailing us.

I do believe however that starting and building your own MLM business may help to cover some shortfalls. With the proper focus, I know it can provide a pathway toward your personal freedom and independence from many of the forces that are tearing families apart.

I do not care whether you join any of my projects. I’m not writing this in an attempt to recruit anyone. I am promoting the notion that everyone should seek out a program that will allow them to start right away – a program that will meet their requirements in terms of enrollment, products, compensation, training, and philosophy.

None of us can afford to wait for the economic situation to remedy itself. Regardless of whom may be to blame, I do not think it wise to wait for our politicians to construct an equitable and fair solution.

Please. This is far too important to ignore. I don’t ask you to sign on with me. At least, look at what the marketplace has to offer and, if you haven’t yet, put some sort of plan in motion.

The MLM Glue…

One of the most insurmountable obstacles any network marketing distributor faces is marketing. Four huge issues are

  1. Most new distributors have little or no marketing experience
  2. The tools and guidelines provided by the MLM company are too generic and ineffective

It’s YOUR business…

Many people in MLM struggle because they never understand they are running a business. Let me ask you…if you wanted to establish a successful restaurant what would you do? What kind of people would you hire? How much would you spend? Going into a business like that would require a lot of planning and allocation of resources.

Unfortunately, many MLM reps do not put the same thought into their MLM business. Joining an MLM opportunity is a big decision…just like starting a restaurant. You need to consider the following criteria:

  • Total costs – Obviously the cost to join the program and any monthly costs for product…also consider costs for marketing. No business can succeed without a marketing campaign…how much can you afford? Also the cost of education…chances are you know very little about marketing…you must invest in ebooks, and courses to help train yourself
  • Time required – this is huge…starting a business takes a LOT of effort…you need to market, learn the product, educate yourself in marketing strategies, test those strategies, train new reps, etc. Once things get rolling your time will be leveraged, but in the beginning you will need a LOT if DEDICATED time
  • Who will you work with? – many new MLM reps try to find anyone willing to listen and join their program…is that what you would do for your restaurant?…of course not! Hard as it may be you need to be patient and find those of a similar mindset and especially the desire to succeed. You are building a multi-million dollar business…do you really want to work with people who constantly make excuses and blame everyone else for their lack of effort? or work with people who have no motivation?

These are the big criteria you need to consider. Other criteria are also important such as your own personal desire and motivation. Thinking through these questions and taking an honest, realistic look will position you to be one of the 5% of MLM reps who succeed.
